BPM Media have launched a new control surface for the Clarity and Velvet Media players. The Xchange control surface is a simple strip of 16 customisable buttons for easy selection of music playlists. One simple push of a button will instantly override the existing music schedule with your new selection, allowing you to set the mood in your premises and influence your customers.

The Xchange interface was developed as a response to customer demand for a controller that can be used by staff to react to changing audiences with just one press of button. This approach eliminates the need for staff to choose music or set up playlists. By denying staff access to individual song selections, you can increase productivity and eliminate innappropriate song selections by staff members.

Example Scenario: It is a busy Friday night in a city centre pub. Velvet Media Player is picking and automatically mixing the best pop and dance chart songs in accordance with the templates and schedules that BPM Media has custom programmed for the pub. The crowd are enjoying the music selection and the tills are ringing! However, the next night the bar has a booking for a 40th birthday party. When the party arrives, the bar manager presses the 'Party Hits' button on the Xchange controller which instantly generates a 5 hour long playlist of the best party hits from the last 4 decades, overriding the preset chart music playlist.
